Practice Areas
Attorney Ellen W. Freyman concentrates her practice in all aspects of commercial real estate: acquisitions and sales, development, leasing and financing. She has an extensive land use practice that includes zoning, subdivision, project permitting, and environmental matters.
Ellen has substantial experience in the area of development and financing of affordable housing, utilizing funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency and various other governmental and quasi-governmental agencies.
In addition, she represents various institutional lenders and borrowers in both construction and permanent financing.
Her clients include national retailers and franchisees, national telecommunications companies, developers of affordable and senior housing projects, including assisted living and independent living facilities, manufacturers, and various not-for-profit agencies.
Ellen is currently assisting the City of Springfield Planning Department to revise the City’s zoning ordinance.
