Fentin was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2017 in the fields of Banking and Finance Law and Commercial Transactions and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Law.

Attorney Gary S. Fentin, a resident of Conway, concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and real estate finance and development, industrial revenue bonds, affordable housing, business law, and business foreclosures and workouts. He manages the firm’s tax-exempt bond practice and has acted as bond counsel and/or purchaser’s counsel in hundreds of such issues since 1978. He is a graduate of Boston College Law School where he was an editor of the Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif (1969), Boston University Law School where he earned a Masters of Laws in taxation (1983) and Duke University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (1966). Attorney Fentin also completed an Intensive Mediation Workshop at Harvard Law School (2002). He has been repeatedly selected to the Super Lawyers list and The Best Lawyers in America list in recognition of his professional success.

Attorney Fentin is active in the community, maintaining professional memberships in the Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations and National Association of Bond Lawyers, along with community and civic organizations. He is the only counsel with offices west of Worcester who has been approved as bond counsel to the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency. He has represented lenders, purchasers and developers in real estate development and finance matters for over thirty-five years and represents secured lenders in commercial foreclosures and workouts. Attorney Fentin is actively involved in the representation of profit and nonprofit companies and in the development, financing, refinancing and syndication of affordable housing.
