Local Attorney, Michele J. Feinstein Honored by Best Lawyers®

Local law firm, Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., serving Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, today announced Shareholder Michele J. Feinstein was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2017 in the fields of Elder Law and Trusts and Estates.

Attorney Michele J. Feinstein, a shareholder at Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., and lifelong resident of Longmeadow, concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, elder law, probate litigation, health law, corporate and business planning, including all aspects of planning for the succession of business interests, representation of closely held business and their owners, and representation of physicians in their individual and group practices. She is a cum laude graduate of the Western New England University School of Law where she was a member of the Law Review (1984) and Boston University, where she first earned her Bachelor of Science summa cum laude (1981) and later a Master of Laws in taxation (1990). She was named a Top Women of Law by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (2014) – the only attorney in the western Massachusetts region to be honored that year.

Attorney Feinstein maintains active memberships in the Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations, American Health Lawyers Association and National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She serves on numerous professional advisory committees, including: The Investment Committee of the Jewish Endowment Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Greater Springfield; and Western New England University and is a board member of Jewish Geriatric Services, Inc.

Additionally, she is a valuable community resource for legal expertise and regularly lectures throughout the Pioneer Valley for organizations including the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, and numerous other civic and professional associations on business, health law and estate planning topics. She also is a Senior Adjunct Professor of Law at Western New England University, where she teaches in the postdoctoral Estate Planning and Elder Law LLM program.
