Local law firm, Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., serving Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, today announced that Attorney L. Alexandra Hogan has received an Excellence in the Law Award for “Up & Coming” Attorneys from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly honors individual attorneys who demonstrate excellence in the legal community. Attorneys are honored in the categories of Up & Coming Lawyers, Excellence in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Firm Administration and Operations, Marketing, Paralegal Work and Pro Bono. Each year Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly honors selected nominees during an awards ceremony, this year the awards ceremony will take place May 4 at the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel in Boston. This year’s awards ceremony will be hosted by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in partnership with Massachusetts Bar Association.
Attorney Hogan was nominated this year in the Up & Coming category, this award celebrates attorneys that have been practicing for 10 years or less, yet who have already distinguished themselves throughout the legal community. She will be honored alongside attorneys across Massachusetts.

Attorney L. Alexandra Hogan, a resident of Longmeadow, concentrates her practice primarily in business, litigation, and bankruptcy law. She graduated from Western New England University School of Law in 2008, with cum laude honors, where she was also appointed an assistant editor and became a published author of the Western New England Law Review. Attorney Hogan graduated from Bay Path University with summa cum laude honors in 1996. She has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and a Top Women Attorney (2011-2015). Additionally, Attorney Hogan was recognized by Junior Achievement as a 2012 recipient of the Gold Peak Performance Award and included in the BusinessWest 40 Under Forty Award program, class of 2013.
