James B. Sheils Earns 2017 Best Lawyers® Distinction

Local law firm, Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., serving Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, today announced Partner James B. Sheils was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2017 in the field of Commercial Transactions and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Law.

Attorney Sheils, a resident of East Longmeadow, concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial finance law, creditors’ rights, banking law and telecommunications siting matters. He is a graduate of the Boston College Law School (1975) where he was the recipient of the John F. Cremens Award for legal services work. Attorney Sheils also attended the College of the Holy Cross, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and cum laude honors (1972). He has been awarded by the Goodwill Industries of the Pioneer Valley – John Auchter Award (2012).

Attorney Sheils has been active in the East Longmeadow community serving the town in many roles, serving as the town moderator of East Longmeadow for more than 10 years. He also maintains many active organization memberships and has been a partner of the firm since 1985.
