Michele J. FeinsteinLong recognized as one of the preeminent attorneys in western Massachusetts, Attorney Michele J. Feinstein of Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., has been included in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for her outstanding contributions to the fields of Elder Law, Trusts and Estates and Litigation, and Trusts and Estates. She has been included on the list every year since 2013.

With a well-earned reputation for her work in estate planning and administration, elder law, probate litigation, health law, and corporate and business planning, Attorney Feinstein has also been repeatedly chosen for the Massachusetts Super Lawyers® and Super Lawyers Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts lists, and has been certified as an Advanced Estate Planner® designee by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. She was also previously named Lawyer of the Year for Trusts and Estates and Elder Law from The Best Lawyers in America.

A lifelong resident of Longmeadow, Attorney Feinstein graduated summa cum laude from Boston University and cum laude from Western New England University School of Law, where she served as a member of the Law Review. She received her Master of Laws in taxation from Boston University School of Law.

In addition to her active memberships with the Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations, Attorney Feinstein is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is also a regular speaker for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Massachusetts Bar Association, and she is a Senior Adjunct Professor of Law in the postdoctoral Estate Planning and Elder Law LLM program at Western New England University School of Law.

Attorney Feinstein is an active member of several community organizations, agencies and professional advisory committees. Throughout her career, she has lent her expertise to enhance the rights of elders, disabled individuals and women.
