Attorney Steven Weiss Honored by The Best Lawyers In America©

Local law firm, Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., serving Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, today announced Partner Steven Weiss was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2017 in the field of Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law for the 10th consecutive year.

Attorney Steven Weiss, a resident of Longmeadow, concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and consumer bankruptcy, reorganization and litigation. Attorney Weiss supervises the firm’s bankruptcy, reorganization and workout practice, represents creditors, debtors, and others in both commercial and consumer bankruptcy cases throughout Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the Boston University School of Law (1984) and he also attended Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (1980), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1976-1977). He has been recognized for his legal success by selection to the Super Lawyers list (2007-Present) and The Best Lawyers in America (2008-Present).

Attorney Weiss is a member of the Hampden County and Massachusetts Bar Associations, American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. He has been a member of the private panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the District of Massachusetts since 1987, and also serves as a Chapter 11 Trustee. He speaks regularly at educational seminars on bankruptcy practice.

His community affiliations include: The Longmeadow Community Preservation Committee; Longmeadow Historical Commission; Standing Panel in the Chapter 7 Trustees, District of Massachusetts; Standing Committee on Local Bankruptcy Rules; and Sinai Temple of Springfield.
