Ann (“Ami”) I. Weber of Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C. will be a guest speaker for a seminar titled 15 Financial Myths—Demystified. The seminar will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the Simsbury Public Library located at 725 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury, CT.
The event, which is free, will address common misconceptions about financial strategies, including:
- Estate planning is only for the wealthy
- Employer-owned insurance is enough
- Market timing is what it takes to make money
- Retirement investing ends at retirement
- Business owners don’t need retirement savings
Participants will also receive answers to questions such as “Do you think you have enough life insurance through your job?” “What happens if you leave?” and “Do you think your portfolio should only feature proven ‘winners’?”
Attorney Ann (“Ami”) I. Weber, concentrates her practice in the areas of estate tax planning, estate administration, probate, and elder law; and has a particular interest in creative estate planning for authors and artists, and farmers and landowners. Ami is board member and past president of The Estate Planning Council of Hampden County, Inc., and is a former (and founding) board member and current member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). She is a frequent author and speaker on issues regarding Estate Planning.
