Attorney Carol Cioe Klyman named to 2025 Massachusetts Super Lawyers® list

Carol KlymanAttorney Carol Cioe Klyman, a shareholder at Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., has been named to the 2025 Massachusetts Super Lawyers® list in the field of Elder Law, which marks her 21st year on the list.

Over the past 26 years with the firm, Attorney Klyman has focused her practice on elder law, estate planning, special needs planning, estate administration, guardianships, trust and estate litigation and MassHealth appeals, guiding older adults, families, caregivers and professionals through complex long-term care and financial planning issues.

Attorney Klyman has also been committed to the advancement of elder law nationwide. In 2025, with her colleague Michele Feinstein, she co-authored the third edition of Massachusetts Elder Law, a leading resource for practitioners across the region, published by LexisNexis Publishing, and since 1996 has contributed chapters on income and estate tax issues for the treatise Elder and Disability Law in Massachusetts, published by MCLE New England.

Attorney Klyman is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and the American Bar Foundation, a member of the national and Massachusetts chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), serving as editor of the NAELA Law Journal, and a member of the Massachusetts Bar Probate Section Council. Attorney Klyman is a Westhampton resident.
