Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., today announced that Attorney Stephen L. Sobey has been selected to the 2025 Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in the practice area of Estate Planning & Probate. This recognition honors attorneys under 40 or with 10 years or less in practice who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement and peer recognition. This marks his fifth consecutive Rising Stars selection.
A resident of Springfield, Attorney Sobey joined the firm in 2017 and concentrates his practice in estate planning and administration and elder law. He received his law degree from Boston College Law School and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Connecticut. He was recently recognized on the 2026 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® list in the category of Trusts and Estates.
Active in the local community, Attorney Sobey serves on the board of directors of Viability, Inc. and on the human rights committee of Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
