Local law firm, Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., serving Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, today announced that Attorney Steven Weiss, shareholder, was recently selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2022 in the field of Bankruptcy and Creditor Debt Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law. This is the 15th consecutive year that he’s been included on the list.
Attorney Weiss, a resident of Longmeadow, concentrates his practice in the areas of Commercial and Consumer Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Litigation. He supervises the firm’s bankruptcy, reorganization and workout practice, and represents creditors, debtors and others in both commercial and consumer bankruptcy cases throughout Massachusetts.
Attorney Weiss is a member of the Hampden County Bar Association and served a two-year term as chair of its bankruptcy section. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. He has been a member of the private panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the District of Massachusetts since 1987.
He currently sits as the chair of the Longmeadow Community Preservation Committee and is also active with the Longmeadow Historical Commission and Sinai Temple.
