Ann I. Weber (“Ami”) has a comprehensive estate planning and elder law practice tailored to individuals, professionals, and owners of closely-held businesses. She lectures frequently before professional and community groups and has written extensively on these subjects.

Estate Planning

Ami works with individuals and families to plan for the desired transfer of property at death and the preferred management of property in the event of disability. Documents prepared may include wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, gift tax returns, and a variety of other estate planning documents structured to minimize income, estate, and gift taxes. She also works closely with business clients to facilitate the smooth transfer of a family enterprise to the next generation.

Estate Administration & Probate

As a former employee of the Internal Revenue Service and a current member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Ami has extensive experience in the settlement of simple and complex estates, including representation in the probate court, preparation of estate tax returns and practice before the IRS and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue.

Elder and Disability Law

Ami has an in-depth practice devoted to the representation of elders and other individuals with disabilities with an emphasis on preserving family wealth for family members. She handles MassHealth applications, hearings and appeals and guardianship proceedings.
